Free CV Templates for South Africa
Four professional CV templates, free to use. Fill in your details once, switch templates whenever you like, and download your CV as a PDF.
Classic CV Template
A clean, single-column CV with a bold header. The safe choice for almost any job.
Modern Two-Column CV Template
A two-column CV with a dark sidebar for contacts, languages and skill ratings.
Creative CV Template
A single-column CV with a colourful gradient header that gets noticed.
Minimal CV Template
A monochrome, whitespace-first CV that lets your experience do the talking.
Which CV template should I use?
If you are not sure, start with Classic. A single-column CV is the easiest for recruiters to skim and for applicant tracking systems to read, which matters when you apply through a big employer's online portal or a government department.
Choose Modern when you have a few jobs to show and want your skills visible at a glance, Creative for customer-facing and creative roles, and Minimal for corporate, finance and senior positions.
Your details are saved once on CV Hub, so switching templates never means retyping your CV. The sample CV in these previews is fictional.
What every South African CV should include
- Your name, cellphone number, email address and the town you live in
- A short About Me summary of who you are and the job you want
- Your matric and any qualifications, courses or certificates
- Work experience with your main duties - including part-time, volunteer and piece work
- Skills, languages and, where they matter for the job, your driver's licence
- Two or three references who have agreed to be contacted
You do not need to include your ID number, race, religion or marital status, and you should leave them out of a CV you share publicly.
